LS7 perhaps

I may soon have access to a used LS7 engine. I will be putting it into my 94 Z28. Is there anything besides a K-member and a PCM that I will need? Also would a LS1 k- member work for this? Thanks, Tom

if its out of the vette, you may need to make room for the dry sump unless you can do away with it.

Re: LS7 perhaps

Where does one find a "used" LS7? Someone with a Z06 is doing a swap? Not calling BS, but that seems really unlikely.

Your stock 4L60E will not handle that much power for very long. You won't need it right away, but plan on it eventually.

F-body tailshafts are different -- they have a mount point for the torque arm. But the Corvette uses a rear transaxle, so he wouldn't (easily) be able to use the Corvette tranny. He'll still need to do something about handling the extra power.

Ah, sorry, all I saw was '94 A4.

550... better not do any mods to the LS7.

Or he builds a better tranny, or he is happy with 505 freakin HP!!!!

But it is very true. He might be able to buy the car back from insurance for a small amount (you pay your friend) and then run like hell with the motor.
