whats up people,

well i got plans now for an s10 i got..(an extreme to be exact).. and i've been thinkin about throwing in an LS6 with a vette tranny and everything... the whole package..and i'm tryin to find out how easy or hard it'd be to mount it in there, i.e would there be a need for custom motor mounts?... a custom firewall ?....

 

had a buddy who really wanted my old ls-1 for his s-10 he gave up on the project. It's a lot of work.

 

i dont care about all that.. i'm just concerned about how much cutting, welding, and custom mounting i'll need to do if any...but sounds good... and tho i'm a big fan of superchargers... turbo says alot more...;-)

again.. anyone out there know about the mounting of an LS6 or 1 into an s10?

 

there's a guy on the zr2 site I go to that put an ls1 in his truck.

You will need a trans out of a camaro or firebird.
The vette has that clutch on the motor trans in the back deal...

 

My buddy put an LS1 with an M6 in his 98 S10.........That thing hauls ***!

There are several guys on there who have done the LS1/6 speed swap into blazers and s10s. Too much money & time and not enough returns for me. You can get the headers and mounts from JTR.

 

I know it can be done. There's a guy in our club with an LS1 / M6 in an S-10

 

on another note, guy i know put a LS1 (not sure tranny) into RX7, ran 11s on the stock ls1 8)

Theres a local guy here who did the same thing, LS1 with a T-56 transmission in an rx-7....11's stock..crazyness
