I found a couple LS6/1 intakes on ebay by some dude who either doesnt know his stuff at all (claims his friend races vetes and came off a vette) or he knows its an LS1 and is advertising it as an ls6.

He has no pictures of the bottom at eye level, so i can't check that.
Both the intakes have no EGR provisions, so that leads me to believe its ls6?
One of the pictures has a casting number, but its blurry i think it says: 2556333 and the other he says is 12560894?

any help would be great

 

If there is no egr then they are LS6.

 

be aware that LS1 based vettes never had EGR so it could still be an LS1 intake and not an LS6 intake.
not sure of the LS6 part number off the top of my head.

if I dont get this I'm debating to save for a Fast 90/90 setup... P&P heads, 2.02/1.60 and F13... i think the fast combo could boost about 20ish hp. while the ls6 dyno proves only 12.. still would like one for 250..

Ok, sooo.. sorry maybe i'm not getting it, (i'm pretty thinck sometimes) but those two in the auctions... are they regular ls1 or ls6 stye? so far i'm winning..

 

That confused me also.. They listed both intakes and one of them they had listed as a 4BBL carb and EFI .....that's why I added the ???'s

No EGR's gotta be an LS6... Did the 5.3's have the EGR in the same location? Or is it a different manifold all together? I haven't seen a 5.3 in a while..

 

PN's change all the time - 12556333 is a LS1 intake for the 97-00 vette.
