ok, newbie question, is the LS6 intake the same manifold from vettes, an how much HP does it make and how much does it cost in general?

 

LS6 vettes and 'vettes made after 2001. All f-bodies made after 2001. But they have no provision for EGR. SLP sells one with the EGR hole. Or you could eliminate the EGR but that would require programming out the code to avoid a SES light.
They are generally good for about 10 ponies and run right around $400. A site sponser TSP has been having good deals on them.

 

Vette and Fbody manifolds are slightly different, since the Vette has drive-by-wire, so no throttle cable bracket. Otherwise identical.

 

The throttle cable bracket bolts on. The manifold is the same.

 

I thought the Vette manifolds were missing the threaded brass inserts? I know some people had gotten manifolds in that state.

 

Could be. But I've never heard of it.
