Ok I am putting an ls6 intake on my 98 ls1 right now. I got off the old one and now I am looking at the bottoms and my new ls6 intake didnt come with the foam padding stuff on the bottom. I am dremaling out the bottom of it anyways so I dont have to do the coolant line cross over. So is that stuff important there and what does it do. Thanks you
