LS6 Intake

how big of a throttle body will a stock LS6 intake accept? i've looked quite a few places and havent seen it anywhere. thanks

The stock TB is 78mm. I don't know if you can bolt a bigger one on the intake though?? I think the TB & intake have to be matched to each other, unless someone can chime in and say otherwise??

The LS1/LS6 are 78mm, the LS2 is 85mm (I think? ), and the FAST LSx intake can be ordered as 78mm or 90mm. TB's should come in corresponding sizes, but I don't think there are adapters to put a 90mm on a 78mm intake or anything like that?

should be able to fit an 85mm TB on it with out any trouble, since most aftermarekt ones are that size.

but in all honesty...there isn't a need. the gains are minimal.

if you have the mods to warrant more air...than look to the full blown FAST 90/90...or TPIS 90mm LS6 setup

A ported stocker is good enough unless you're looking to do heads/cam or something like that.
