LS6 on a Camaro

will a 405hp ls6 work on a 2002 z28? do i need to change anything for it to work? will ls1 aftermarket parts work on the ls6?
(headers, chip, pulleys, watever...)

You can drop in a 405hp LS6 into a F-Body. The tuning is a little different but nothing LS1 Edit can't handle.

If you are just looking for more power a set of ported LS1/LS6 or Truck heads and a small cam will make you more power than the LS6 does for about the same or less money.

Why do you want to know?

i know a guy who can get me the engine, and many other parts, for around half the price. by the end of this month, ill be getting a 2002 z28 m6, and the ls6 engine will look sexy in it .

wats needed for the ls6 to work on the camaro. will ls1 aftermarket parts work with the ls6?

They externally are the same motor. Camshafts are different, Block and Head Castings are different.

All the parts on the two motors interchange.

Externally you can't tell the difference
