Re: Ls6?

oil pump
cam
heads
intake manifold until the later years

the block had minor differences, none of which affected horsepower.

Re: Ls6?

Actually... the block on the LS6 has larger windows to make bay to bay breathing better. Does that affect horsepower? Yes.

Re: Ls6?

for the cost of ls6 parts to make your ls1 a stock ls6 you could make your ls1 make alot more power for less money..

Re: Ls6?

pick a heads/cam combo that suits your needs. i would suggest going to an LS1 speed shop or a shop that knows what they are talking about and tell them what your goals are . Depending on what you want to do will determine your setup.

Drag only
Street/strip
Daily Driver

how many miles do you plan on driving a year?
do you care about gas mileage?
figure out your overall goal, then go from there.

That's f***ing sweet! That would save me $800 for headers and tuning should be a breeze if it has nearly stock properties. Tweak a table here or there and get the AFR dialed in with a WB...395rwhp + stall + sticky tires = low12's~high11's.
