LS1's ignition...

Ya so, the LSx motors don't have the great OPTI SPARK!! Cool! What exactly does it have? Cause I heard it was a lot different than what was on my LT1. Is it one of those with 8 coils and what not? Thanks! I was kinda intrigued!!

yep, its got a coil for every cylinder, with about 8 inches or so of wire to the spark plug

heh, ok. Well, how all does it work? does it go distributor of some sort to the coils? Is there a distributor at all? Seriously, how???

No distributor at all. Crank sensor and computer handle the spark and timing chores.

If u wanna learn about the LS1's ignition go here then go to the top or bottom of the page at the table of contents and start from the top to see how all the different systems work.....like the opti-spark
