Not si hard if you have a donar car, you just have to switch everything out. It's also a pretty expensive venture. Most people will tell you it just makes more sense to buy a V8 car and sell the V6. I looked into the swap, and decided that people were right, and bought a TA.

ya i agree. why do that and waste money when its cheaper to get a v8...the only reason i can think of is becasue of insurance....people will say their car is av6 still and really have a v8 in it

Technically speaking, how much would a swap run you?

I have heard around $5k, that is with a used LS1 and tranny.

depends on where you buy the parts.

for an LS1...

1 piece driveshaft
V8 Cross member
V8 fuel lines and the fuel pump from the tank
LSD
Engine
Transmission
Wiring harness
All belt driven accessories
PCM from donor car
new radiator (you can use the V6 dual fans)
new radiator hoses
V8 guage cluster
V8 springs

there are some misc. parts that are wired differently, but it depends on whether you want to splice into the wiring or just replace the part.

total you're looking at close to $4500. if you get an A4, you can save quite a bit because of the high price that a T56 commands.
