LS1 Swap in 95 3.4L Firebird.... Input??

Hey All...

Tranny is out in my 95 3.4L Car and am just gonna swap out the 3.4L for the LS1.

I've already got the LS1 and Automatic Tranny, Harness, Interior Harness, etc. All of this out of a 2000 SS.

Just want to know if you guys have ever seen somebody do this and have anything I should watch out for...

Any Suggestions??

A few things that puzzle me are...

1) How to make the Traction Control Work.

2) SRS - Are the 1st Gen Airbags really that Different from the 2nd Gen Airbags??

More important things to get would be a front crossmember and LS1 radiator, guages, and the other things to complete the project.

suspension is different in the v6, you are probably going to have to redo it also for proper handling.

Check this thread on FirebirdV6.com.

Magnus (Keith) had a 97 Firebird with a 3.8 V6 that he swapped to an LS1. You could ask him a few questions.

Also, I think you're going to need to change a bit more...things like your gas tank.
