Thumbs up

All I know is that people are running 11's in the 1/4 STOCK with the LS1 engine and A4 tranny swap (along with 28mpg ) . A shop (located in Alabama?) does a lot of these swaps for people. I'll try to find the website. The LS1 is supposed to be a perfect swap engine for the RX-7.

What gen RX-7 is it? I don't see that many RX-7s but I bet a second gen could hold an LS1 more easily than a 3rd gen
Um, since this is your friend's car, in case you don't know what generation it is the generations go something like this:
1st- 1983-1986??
2nd- 1988??-1991
3rd- 1993-1995 <- at least in America

Crap, sorry, I didn't notice. That'd be a sweet car to have with an LS1 in it. Much better than a 2nd gen in my opinion.

My buddy just did a 450 hp small block swap into a second gen. WOW! that thing is crazy quick. His email is wallywhite88@aol.com. he got a ton of prefab parts thru a company called grannysmith.com or something. He's a cool guy who luvs car talk...give 'em an email he can tell you how to do it, where to get the best parts, and what not to do. He is in the market for another good RX7 body to put an LT1 in. It's worth it. he has an 11 sec stock car (crap tires, suspention, and brakes) for around 3K.

Yeah the address you need is http://grannysspeedshop.com/ I put a 302 stroked to 347 with 582 HP in a first gen 7 and it was fast but due to weight displacement it was hard to launch only got a 10.28 out of it. Let me know if you need more info...

Congratulations, you're an idiot. There's no such thing as a 4th gen RX-7, even when the RX-7 stopped being produced in 2002 in Japan, it was still a 3rd gen.
get educated before you call someone out

Edit: I just saw your post count, therefore you hopefully can't be an idiot. Did you think I was talking about Camaros?
