<---LS1 noob

Well, it's time i belive for Kj to get a F-body. And i want a LS1, i dont care which as long as it's a 6spd with t-tops. I know my LT-1's fairly well as far as mods to wake them up, but im kinda leary as to what really gets me the best bang for my buck. I was thinkin freeing up the breathing first MTI lid, and the exhaust with the Loudmouth, then when i get LT's doing the dynomouth mod.....and gears etc etc. Could you guys kinda point me off in the right direction as far as brands?

THanks alot,

For the lid I would go with wisper or the MTI use either a holly powershot filter or just use the paper K&N don't fit very well...For the exhaust get the LM I have it and love the sound or if you want to spend the money Borla sounds and performs awesome as well. I would look into the pacesetter or jet hot headers with a catless y-pipe and don't use o2 simulators up front they are worthless. Other mods you want to do early on would be BMR sub frames, LCA's, panhard rod and torque bar. For all of those I would stick with the BMR boxed try to stay away from the tubular (not as strong) and remember to get the poly bushings so you won't have the mushy fealing hope this gets you started in the right direction.

don't remove the front sensors, remove the rear! the front tell the engine wut to do and the rear tell you how good the cat is working.....

I pretty much agree with that.

TSP lids seem to be really good, if I didn't have the MTI already, I would've gone with a TSP.

Dynomouth is good if you're trying to save some money, actually (from what I've heard) it's good whether you're trying to save money or not.

Headers, LTs are the best for performance but there are a lot of LTs available. The only ones I would consider though are: Hooker, Jet-Hot, QTP, Kooks, PPC or ThunderRacing. Price is the biggest difference between them, Hookers and Jet-Hots being the least expensive. Do a search here and at www.ls1tech.com if you want to know more about which headers to go with.

SFCs are definite must-do-mod (which reminds me...). The two that I'm considering are Kenny Brown or BMR. Don't think you can go wrong with either but BMR products are great and they're fairly inexpensive (compared to others). Brett is also a really nice guy so I like supporting him.

Shifter, Pro 5.0 or B&M...again can't go wrong with either. I prefer the Pro 5.0 though and I've had both.

SSRA...or the FTRA. They both pretty much do the same thing. Do a search to see what one people like the best.
