Trying to find out if GM is still building both engines. I know the LS2 is what all cars and trucks are assembled with from the factory nowdays. So anybody know about GM halting production on LS1 and LS6?

 

I think the trucks still get a 5.3L LS1..

I dunno tho.. its not GM that builds them.. its another company that actually makes the blocks..

 

I don't see production of LS1 or LS6 stopping anytime soon...they're both still available as crate motors, just like the LT1 still is too, so allthough I'm sure production will be scaled back, I don't see it ceasing.
