thanks for the input guys, i'll make a run at the track and post some times...
i sure wish i could get a dyno.

btw, the previous owner of the car said it ran a 12.6 at the track but i call bs

While it is possible you have the LS6 block, the only way to know for sure is to check the casting number on the block itself. I think the "bullseye method" has been disproven.

Basically, it's a slightly stronger block, with better bay-to-bay breathing. Does it add power? :dunno: But I'm damn sure it doesn't hurt...

Anyone know casting #'s for the LS6's???? The '00 just got a new motor and suprised us by running a 13.09 @ 105 at the track Yesterday. Previus best with the old motor was a 13.32 @ 103. The motor supposedly came out of a '00 T/A M6 w/30K miles....I'm going to check this thing out and see what we really got.

LS6 ends in 68

should be on the Drivers side, just below the cyl head. Towards the back of the block. This what I got from LS1tech...so again if I'm mistaken someone please chime in.
