LS1 with LS2 heads cam and tb...

Is it feasable or even possible to put LS2 heads cam and tb on an LS1? If so what would need to be done if anything? I have a guy sellin all that for $700 local and the heads are all assembled he says. Worth it as well? Thanks guys.

seems like i read a while ago about a swap that was done. and it actually hurt the power. the heads flowed too much for the engine, same with the intake.

now if you were running a nasty cam...maybe it would pay off.

LS2 heads are the same casting as the LS6 heads. They fit, no problem. The LS2 cam probably wouldn't be worth the effort.
I think the LS2 TB is electronic and your f-body is cable driven. That isn't going to work.
Iwould say it is not worth $700.

The LS2 TB is electronic aka throttle by wire. I have heard the cam in the ls2 gto is an ls6 cam but I am not too sure.

Im guessing theres a web site somewhere with the cam specs for the LS2 and LS6 to compare lift etc... hmmm. I will have to do a search later this week I guess. If anyone knows for sure and I dont have to search that would be awesome! Thanks for your help guys.

I've never heard of that being a problem with the swap he mentioned.

That's what I've gathered so far.

They vette guys seem to be doing this on a fairly regular basis, tho I haven't read about the LS2 TB yet.

That's because all LSanything 'vettes are drive by wire.
