I have a friend that had a large cam LS1 (Combination Motorsports cam 237/244 .559/.559 112 LSA) and the thing runs rich as hell at idle. It was professionally tuned at Speed Inc and made 420Rwhp on the dyno. What kind of IAC counts do you want to see at idle. Right now he is seeing over 100 and opening the throttle blades seems to have little effect. Do you want to be seeing around 30-40 counts at idle, right? Is a hole in the throttlebody the only way to allow the IAC to control idle and not be overly rich? Any help would be appreciated.
