'01 & '02 LS1's got the LS6 intake manifold and 6.0L truck cam, as opposed to the true "LS1" intake and a different camshaft (more lift, but different profile). Even @ the track and on the dyno, '01/'02 cars typically perform better

Dont worry about the factory rated numbers. They generally mean squat..
Get yours on a dyno and then to the track..
Some say the dyno is worthless. For me, it allows me to realisiticly set my cars goals based on the power it can produce. If my car would only put down 285rwhp stock then I would never expect it to put me into the 12's stock. Just not enough power to move the weight with the gear ratio stock.
I use it as a tool I guess..

GM could've easily said LS1 F-bodies are making 350hp, but they didn't and we all know why, right?
