I ran it untill the needle was on the red line for e. I also was a light foot with it for pretty much the whole tank of gas.

you should try the stuff I did. I was getting about 200 before I did it, and now its like 260 - 270. I need to take some pics of it and I'll post it up. Cost me like $9, and the last 12 tanks of gas i got 70 more miles on each tank! More than worth it.

Well, its pretty simple, but I don't have time to tell you guys about it right now. I have a Critical Thinking History Final due on Monday. But after that I'll have all the info on it posted. Hell, I'll even start a thread for it too, so a lot more people can see it and benefit from it. So give me a couple days.

Gas mileage: 26 hwy / 18 city
Horsepower/Torque: ~300 rwhp (or crank but specify) ??? torque
Gearing: 3.42
Transmission: M6 (Model and if its Auto/Manual(5 speed/6))
Approx $$ spent on mods: $200 (US dollars please)
(at least mods that affect gas mileage)

Gotten the best of 33 mpg on a long highway trip, and a worst of 9 mpg, on a tank which went to 2 autocrosses and the drag strip.

You don't get knocks with 87 octane? That was one thing I was a little worried about with going to an LS1, yea mileage is the same or better then the 6 but I'd have to spend 20 cents more per gallon for premium.
No knocks on 87 or 86 octane.

Yeah, the but car turns out less hp on the cheap stuff. Especially if your CPU is programmed specifically for 91+

I get about 240-260 miles for every full tank of gas and thats driving in the city. I've never had to put more than 13 gallons in either, and thats only when the needle is on E. I get right about 19-20 MPG in city and about 28 or so Highway (got almost 400 miles to a tank once w/ t-tops out and windows down) My car gets nothing but 93. Stock except for lid, filter and shifter. 6 speed w/ 3.42 gears. She dynoed 304 HP and 324 torque before the lid.

I actually don't feel any difference. Haven't gotten times to tell yet.

I run the cheapo stuff on road trips, no racing going on there and the engine still runs smooth so why not save a little cash.

Makes sense. But if you put your foot in it on cheap gas,......well, you can tell in my car. Hadn't thought about it from that angle before.
