Seriously... have you ever driven a 700 hp car? Have you even driven a 500 hp car? Im gonna say right now that having that much power is awesome, but not nearly as fun as a 400 wheel car. I have a 430 wheel car (with similar TQ) and I can tell you that its more power than most people can handle. Once you go above that, you have to be really scared of your car. I personally dont like being scared of my car.

Yes, I will rain on your parade and say that you dont need 700 hp. That is a **** ton of power.

If you wanna go fast, just build a nice 402 LS2 motor and throw a blower on it. That way you can turn down the boost for everyday driving and when you wanna go ***** fast at the track its just a pulley swap away.

Seriously, I seriously question some of you guys sometime. "I want a gazillion HP, I want it to be bulletproof, get 40 mpg, and last forever... can I do all that for $4k"

Seriously... building a 700hp monster is fine, but build up to it.

 

the c5r is a 427 cube lsx. very nasty and $$$ setup. you can buy the motor. but its not like a gm run of the mill crate motor. dont get too radical with your setup . anything with over 450+ rwhp is very traction limited. ive almost gotten into some bad situations just screwing around. even at 90+ mph my car will still light up the tires and get away from you!
