I read something where they were compairing a 03 mustang cobra and a 03 camaro SS and they said both had the same displacment. Could any one tell me what the displacment of an LS1 is?

All '96+ V8 Mustangs (except the Cobra R) have a displacement of 281 c.i.

The LS1's displacement is what the other guys said, 346 c.i.

Thumbs down ford VS CHEVY

Hey I now that NO ONE here likes mustangs. So who really cares about displacement when the only way a piece of SH_T mustang is fast is it needs an iron lung helping it breath. So in closing lets put a houndred hp plower on a LS1 Fbody and see where we are at then with mustnang cobra. That was the sol purpose of the purchase of my 98' Z and with miner mods it will smok any of the POS cobras.

Not everybody on here are closed minded and think that all Mustangs are the scum of the automotive earth. While they may not be our vehicles of choice, some of us actually like the way look, and you cant deny how cheap it is to make them go fast especially the old fox body's. And yes the only reason a cobra is fast is due to the blower, but guess what, they are still fast, and a fast car gets props in my book.

What a freakin waste of bandwidth

There are plenty of Mustangs that are a whole hell of a lot faster than you. Being ignorant makes you look like a total jack ***. Oh and by the way, stock for stock the '01 Cobra and new Mach1 are barely any slower than an LS1.

The only thing I don't like with Mustangs is no option for T-tops.

You guys missed the point and I do understand that not every person on the face of the earth dosen't like the stangs, but the real point was that ford needed to charge their car to make it run/ beat the fbody cars from GM. I too have good friends with very nice stangs, like my buddy Mike has a super nice 87 GT that quite frankly will flat run like all hell and would have beat my car last year before the long tubes and cam. So in closing don't everybody start thinking that I am a big di_k or something, because we need to stay united so don't judge me by my original a$$inined reply. I also have a few questions that I would like to ask everyone if you will forgive me. First question, has anyone put in the 160 therm and had their car low down "keep in mind that the computer was reprogramed with the pp3 to the 160". Second, what would the best gear size for my 6sp with dr 255/50/16 3.73 or 4.10, and why do you think that is the best gear for all around driving. And I would like to apologize once again and thank you for your help.
