LS-1 Stroker kit $4102.00?

stroker kit

I seen this when I was looking for a storker kit for an LT-1. Its a Lunati Stroker Kit. When I seen the price I bought fell in the floor. Please tell me you LS1 guys don't have to pay that much for your kits. I'm pretty sure theres plenty of better mods you can do for 4 grand.

I'd never spend that kinda money and thought I'd share the link. I just couldn't believe that thing was that expensive. I sure hope nobody pays that price.

We build quite a few different LSx-based engines with the most popular one being the LS2! We have the basic short-blocks starting under $4,000! This includes the new LS2 block, assembled short-block, front and rear cover, valley cover, and lifter trays.

Feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns. We try to keep a few short-blocks assembled and ready to ship!

Keep in mind Year One marks up their stuff a bit more than other places I've seen (like our sponsors).

We have LS1 stroker rotating assemblies with an Eagle 4.00" stroke crankshaft, Scat H-beam connecting rods, and Mahle Motorsports pistons, pins, and rings starting at $1,875 + shipping! We can put a package together using any pieces (i.e. Lunati, Callies, Carillo, etc.) that you are looking for, so don't hesitate to contact us with what you are looking for.

Re: LS-1 Stroker kit $4102.00?

I just bought a Lunati Pro-billet crank, which is the one they use in those kits. I got a deal at $2100 for the crank only. Add in the Pro-billet rods ~$1000, then pistons, rings and so forth, you've got 4k in it. You have to look at the quality of what your getting. Although the Lunati kit isn't for everyone, some of the extremly high hp LSX based cars need them. For most average cars, Eagle is the best deal around.

You're exactly right. The Lunati kit is not the cheapest, but their crank and rods are awesome. Wiseco now makes their pistons for them, FYI. They quit making their own pistons over a year ago. Their cranks have come down slightly in price within the last year. We now sell Lunati cranks for $1,995, and the Pro Billet connecting rods are $1,099 if bought separately. Their rotating assemblies are typically in the $3,550-$3,900 price range, depending on which kit you're buying.
