Anyone gotten the performance package for the LS1 done? Its 7000 bucks and promises 430HP or something like that. They just change compression and rebuild or what? I'm lost, but somehow interested. I'll drop 7k it if its REALLY worth it. I see the Lingenfelter Intakes and stuff too is any of that any good? Also: I'm new, Hi.

don't know much about the package or actually none at all....But for $7k....I'm sure you could produce more on your own ideas plus you would get to pick exactly the parts you wanted instead of what they automatically supply. If it were me and i had that to blow, i would buy the parts i wanted and possibly save some of that dough.........

You could buy a nice stroker motor and make more HP for that much money. I would do a search if I were you so that you get the most for your money!

You could also get a new ATI procharger for less than that. Actually you could get the procharger for around $6,000 and have $1,000 left over.

The only ones I've seen who get the LPE package are Vettes owners.

LPE = WAY overpriced.

You could buy $800 headers + Y-pipe, $400 exhaust, $125 lid, $100 ported TB, $750 cam-swap package, $550 dynotune + $1000 labor (and a $350 LS6 intake manifold if you have a 98,99,or 2000 car) and have 475+ BHP.

Why in the hell would you pay $7000 for 430 BHP and still have to buy a clutch/torque converter, gears, etc, etc, etc?

And that's only ~$4100 dollars. Add a set of Darts and your still under $6000 and could have 430 at the wheels.

But you don't get the LPE decal and you have no warranty.
