Lous Short Stick on the Ripper?
Lous Short Stick on the Ripper?

Yeah, that's not the Ripper for F-Bodies. Ours are solid sticks all the way down, no bolts. So basically you cannot use the Lou's Short Stick. You can if you want to cut the Ripper's shaft, grind one side down flat, and drill a couple holes. Not worth the trouble. The Ripper I think Is fine by itself.
Or you can get a Pro 5.0, which will work perfectly with the short stick without any modifications

I have one of the original Rippers from the late 90s. It is two pieces. However, the upper shaft is about twice as thick as the one in the picture. The end is actually made a little smaller to accept the factory ball, if that tells you how thick the shaft is. Even if you get one of the older ones, Lou's short stick will not fit. He tried to sell me one at a Super Chevy show when he was first making them. He said it would not fit a B&M. I read some place that he does not make them to fit any model B&M because the demand was too low to tool up for it. Now, that they are one piece, the short stick is out. The one in the picture above looks like one for a five speed. they also fit the Mustang five speeds. Anyway, here is a tip to dampen out the noise in your Ripper or any other that did not come with its own ****. DONOT use the factory ****. It amplifies the sound like crazy. The SLP **** is the quietest. The B&M ***** are also quieter. I have used both. If your shifter lever will come off, do the Rob Mod. That and the right **** makes it silent. The mod is on one of the other boards or Install University, I forgot exactly. It is simply a piece of hard rubber gasket material cut to fit. If you do it, make sure to use Locktite.
