Looking for some opinions

Alright I've had my 98 t/a since April and the mod bug is starting to bite a little. I'm trying to plan a one or two year build-up on a relatively conservative budget (damn college) of 3-4k. I live in illinois in the northern chicago suburbs, so emissions are a bit of a concern to me. I'd also like this car to remain pretty much completely streetable as I drooled over owning a t/a for a good 4 years and want to enjoy my car as a daily driver as well . Anyway, this is what I've come up with so far after doing some searching through the forums and I was looking for any opinions or possible takes on other directions I could go with. The car is an m6 with just under 40k miles so I'm assuming somewhere along the line I'll also need to pick up a new clutch that can handle everything.

DMS subframes
Nitto DRs (16" rim)
Lid/Powershot Filter/FTRA or FRA
Dynomouth exhaust (if I can find a chicagoland shop to do the work)
NOS 5177 dry kit with warmer, rpm window switch,WOT switch
CAGS eliminator
Pro 5.0 shifter
DMS springs
DMS adjustable panhard
LCA relocation brackets
MAC mids with ORY

I'm pretty much doing the mods in this order over the next two summers (as I get cash of course). I felt that a good traction base would be best to establish first, then start working on the power, and finally the suspension for further traction/handling/all around badass looks . I did put the gas before the headers because even though the mac's would compliment nicely, I like the idea of getting the larger hp increase of the nitrous earlier on in the build.

Ultimately I'd like to also do a H/C setup on a 12 bolt a few years down the line but it's just not in the budget for now, and I feel the car will be a bit easier to control in the screwy chicago weather if it's mainly bolt-ons with n02 as a power adder. I also chose these mods because I'm a bit of a mod newb but want to do most of the work myself besides the exhaust fabrication, and from what I've read these are relatively straightforward mods to do if albeit a bit tideous for some (like the headers).

Would I be crazy in hoping for ~425 horses and mid to high 11's while spraying on this setup?

Sorry for the long post guys, I've been hanging around for a while reading up and doing a lot of searches so I guess this makes up for it!

Thumbs up

T/A Punk,

Sounds like a pretty solid plan. You might want to think about
rear gears in there somewhere, with the .5 sixth gear ratio you
could use 4.10's easily. There are too many variables to estimate
ET, but I think mid to low 12's wouldn't be a problem at all. High
11's maybe, but depends on conditions, how well you can launch
etc....
Just remember, set up a plan (done) and stick to it. Every time
you change the plan it will cost you time and money. Don't worry
about taking time to complete, everyone has money issues. If
its not school it will be something else, like me with house, wife
kids, etc....
Enjoy the ride!

Depending on the shot of N2O your running, you should be able to hit 425hp. On a 150 wet shot I put down 453hp on an '01 with incorrectly gapped plugs and basic bolt-ons. I am not sure of the times. The best I have run on the nitrous was 12.4, but on bald street tires, so I was having major traction problems. I now have Nitto's, but still have some traction issues since I now need a Line-lock to be able to heat them up at the track. That's something else you may want to think about haveing an M6 is a line-lock to lock the front wheels up for your burnouts.
Good luck

Jesse, who painted your ww grill insert? Have you had any problems with cracking or anything else?

I ordered it from WW painted. Cost a little more, but it was easier. No problems with cracking, but I do have alot of stone chips. I thought about pulling it and repainting it myself. It's small enough I should be able to do a good enough job.

I revised the order.. added comments

Thanks for all the input so far guys, looks like I did my homework better than I thought! As far as the nitrous goes, I think I'll be running a 100 shot roughly. I was thinking about the gearing but wasn't sure how well they'd mesh with the n02, nittos, and flimsy rear until I replace it.

edit: Are there any other smaller mods I'm missing here? How much power is seen by picking up the smooth bellows, is it a worthwhile mod? Also, was wondering what kind of times my ride will run once this setup is complete and I finally get a mild (like I said it'll be a daily driver) h/c package setup ground for nitrous/FI.

Don't forget about the revalved bilstiens when you do the springs.

Yeah I was thinking about bilstein shocks but wasn't sure if they would impact weight transfer and hurt 1/4 times at all or if they'd help traction and help.
