Looking for advise on turning my Ex daily driver into drag car.

I have a '99 Z28 with 135000 mi on it and automatic 4 speed tranny. Just looking for advise or web links to what i should do to run at my local track which is 1/8 mile. They have nothing but mustangs there im looking to go show them up. If you could help point me in the right direction.

Optimized for 1/8 mile or 1/4 and 1/8?

First of all, you should get a nice converter and gears. A Yank SS3600-4000 and a 3.73-4.10 gear will work the best with a stock-internal car. Do you plan on spraying it?

What are your goals? Power level? Budget?

Don't you think figuring out the whole project might be better, so you don't have to buy parts twice?

budget is going to be the main factor in how fast you want to go. The 4.10's would be a little much with a blower. They may even be too much with n2o. Most a4 guys with a power adder are 3.73/3.42. But i have no idea what tire your going to be running also so that could change things. I would start with a lid for more power, than full exhaust.
