Lookin for big/little wheel combo
Lookin for big/little wheel combo
Are there any big, little wheel combos out there for LS1's that dont require spacers/grinding. I mean like 15x4 on the front and 15x8-10's on the back.
The guy I talked to on the phone from Weld said that the Pro Star XP's in 15 inch would stick out of the fenders. Anyone run these wheels?
Are Bogarts too light for street use???
HELP ME PLEASE

I am the person whom headed up the Bogart program with F-bodies. Each is designed specifically for LT1 and LS1 cars.
The combo you mentioned (rears spec out to 9.75 with P1 series) works well with our cars. These rims are a direct fitment for our cars. Keep in mind that this is setup for the stock rotors/caliper combinations. Since our calipers are floating minor variances are incurred with our calipers and rotors. A very few of the LS1 guys have had to take a hand file and touch up the left over flashing on the caliper or one little spot that was out which was minor and took only minutes to clean up.
They are show quality to say the least. They provide very good backspacing setups which are set at F-body specific needs.
There really is no comparison to any other rim on the market as these are very light, and at show quality finishes in addition to many styles available to suit many people’s desires.
Our 8 inch rim (actually is approx 8.25) has a better backspacing closer to 6.25 which tucks the rim inward better then the competitions choices. I personally suggest to most to go with the 9.75's as you are able to run a larger width choice at a later date if one wanted to. The difference in price between 8.25's and 9.75's are almost nill.
Price wise, for the few dollars they cost over other brands in my opinion are worth its weight in gold. If you’re primarily looking for just a rim that is a track rim and you’re not concerned with appearance, grinding, using spacers or using extra long studs with longer lugs, or being the lightest, then other brands may be an option for you. The saying "you get what you pay for" holds true.
When you mention "street use", keep in mind, most drag rims are not intended for street use. Many of the customers including myself use these primarily on the street. Not one F-body to date since we came out with these has bent a P1 series rim.
Care must be taken into consideration as with any other drag rim when driving on the street. One nice addition of these rims is that no stamping on either facing of the rims unlike welds for example stating "for drag race use". They are marked on the inside where the tire mounts so not to deface the show-quality appearance.
If you need any addition help or more questions, feel free to email me personally or give me a call. I've helped out many of the fastest and up and coming guys which are running these now such as George Baxter, Joe Overton etc etc.
