longtubes and still pass emissions

Thinking about slp longtubes.Would like to get it without cats, but how would i pass emissions. In Illinois they hook you up to a computer. I wonder if they will say something if there are no cats.Suggestions please

Ummm...02 sims don't help you pass the sniffer. They just fool the pcm so it won't throw an SES code. You'll definately need cats for the headers if you want a chance at passing emissions. You could probably ask someone at Random Tech if their high-flow cats will get you passed.

I dont know if they do the visual test in your state, but in a lot of states they have mirrors they put under your car to make sure the cats are still there.

top it off, even if they are still there, but just relocated from the stock position, some places can still technically fail you...

so it all depends..

it's illegal by all federal emissions standards to relocate the cats although, not all states check for that or even pay close attention if they do. slipping some money on the clipboard seems to get it passed... or so i've heard.
