Well all, i dont know what the hell happened. I was in my car, i was slowing to stop(20mph roll) and pull into my drive way. Well i deicided to take it from neutral and put it into 1 so i could make it up my driveway. But as soon as i took it out of neutral and tried to put it into one the car like jerked, and the rear tires seemed to lock up for a second. I mean i could have sworn i pressed the clutch all the way. So i took it out of the gear as fast as possible. But now the tranny is makeing noises. Anyone know what the hell happened? Did i not press neutral? I could have sworn that i did. Also what damage do u think i did? thanks

Yep, ever since I got paranoid about my car I've been hearing all kinds of noises!

 

I thought I was alone on this, good to see i'm not crazy

 

Well for one thing the skip shift light doesnt come on anymore, it also doesnt "skip shift". The tranny is also kinda makeing a whineing noise.

 

You sure it's the tranny? It could be the rear diff.

 

Well as i said i am not exactly sure what happened. I know that i tried to take it from neutral and put it into 1. Then the rear tires seized up. and the car skidded to a hault. then i put it back into neutral then back into 1 and i drove it up my driveway. I mean it works ok. but i get a whineing noise and also the skip shift light no longer comes on

 

Isn't that actually a desireable condition?
