if you want a cam package order a MS3 or 4 from Thunder racing. they will have everything you need. get a ported oil pump and talk to them abuot anything else you might wanna consider. thats basically all you need for a cam swap tho. everything else will then limit the cam but thats what you get unless you change everything else on the car to work together. stock clutch could be replaced with a textralia or LS6 will do too. 4.10 gears in the 10 bolt might break it with sticky tires but will be fun to drive and wake it up a lot. if you have the money to drop on the cam, go with a Fast intake, port the stock TB, make sure to have a lid obviously and get a dynotune. thats all around 4,000 of crap but it would be a fun ride

The MS3 and MS4 are all-out *****-to-the-wall cams with a ton of duration and lift..definitely not for someone who says that he wants a "mild" cam. I wouldn't suggest those cams for anyone with a 346ci motor unless you plan on making it a track car.

Necessary:
Aftermarket Lid, Exhaust, Headers, Springs, Retainers, Hardened Pushrods, Ported Oil Pump (or at least an upgraded LS6 pump), LS2 timing chain set, upgraded clutch, tuning.

Gears would be nice (not absolutely required, though) and possibly an LS6 intake (not required).

I suggest looking at something like the TR224 or Futral Motorsports F-13 if you want a milder cam that's very driveable. The TR224 makes good power, but it's a little smaller than the F-13. The F-13 has noticeable lope, but makes great power across the board at no cost to low-end power.

im just refering to an easy to do package that they offer. the cam is completely streetable. LS1s can take a lot. with decent tuning the MS4 is a blast to drive. change rod bolts tho so you can spin the sucker to the right rpm range

Streetable and usable are two different things. Sure, you can tune most big cams in the LS1 to be "streetable" due to the great heads/intake flow of the LS1, given the right set of gears and converter, but when you start talking about cams in the high 230s or low 240s duration on the stock 346, you start losing alot of power under the curve and alot of low-mid rpm power unless you seriously up the compression. Lazy down-low cams might be streetable, but aren't fun to drive from say a 3000-4000rpm punch on the street unless you have a set of 4.10s or 4.30s.

Call TR up and ask for a Magic stick cam. Thats like going to Burger King and asking for a Big Mac.

The MS grinds are Texas Speed grinds. They're all about peak power. If you're going to suggest MS cams for a daily drive you might as well suggest the T-Rex or Track cam, which are TR grinds.

Midnight,
Start with bolt ons and suspension mods. Once you're done there move on to the internal engine mods. Build your car as a complete package instead of just throwing cash at the engine.

Yeah really...

Anyone can throw out numbers and get results...

cam motion lobe
231/235 .610/.610 111lsa

get that and you'll run 9's...Seriously, i just looked into my crystal ball and it told me those numbers...

As previously stated...TR224 is a start...G5x2 or x3, TSP 228 or MS3/4, F13 or 14...stuff like that...and the pushrods and spring kits that work in collusion with these...pac springs or whatever you guys are using now...

Then definitely at minimum a ls6 intake, will not get good numbers w/o it...ported oil pump, ls2 chain, clutch eventually...

Gears are nice, but not necessary...If you do, start at 4.10, you'll still be moping along on the highway...The 10 bolt can hold up, or it can't...hit or miss...So yeah...

The son (Louis) of Lou Gigliotti of LG Motorsports went to Purdue and was in the car club I was in. Alot of the LS1 guys in the club in turn used the LG G5 series cams. I would have too, but changed mine out back when I was in high school. Anyways, LG offers complete cam packages...and I believe they are all the same price no matter what cam you get. Go as big or as small as you would like. Like mentioned above from the cars in the club that I drove and what people had said....the G5-X2 and X3 cams sound great, make nice power, and are very streetable. They had to be reliable because these were all college students here away from home and most only had that one car.

LG is $$$...

looking at like 1200$ for a package from them...Easier to just call comp with their specs and do it that way...

AZPS?
