Lifter valley cover, removal?

I'm not sure why I can't get the knock sensors out so I can lift this valley cover out?

Anything special I should know here.... cause this is frustrating?

You shouldn't have to remove them IIRC, but they just unscrew after removing the harness.

The electrical connections on both sensors are a little tricky to remove, once they are disconnected you need a deep socket to unscrew the two sensors, they don't just pop out. You don't need to remove the cover to remove the sensors, but if you're removing the cover then the sensors have to come out because they are screwed into the block.

EDIT: Here i found a couple of pictures for you, they should help you out.
