I just got my whisper lid from tbyrnemotorsports and after putting it on, I can't get the clasps to stay shut. Is that a common problem or is it just me...maybe I didn't get it on right..??

 

are you sure the little flaps on the back of your lid are tucked in the slots. it wont clasp right if they arent.

 

Sometimes it depends on the bellows you have. It might be putting too much preasure on the lid and you have to trim it a bit

Depends on what part of town your in. Im in West Boca and only drive about a half mile to work a day. Rule 1 never work more then 1 mile from home. Rule 2 work only when bored

make sure the front of the lid is behind the front of your airbox.i had the same problem.after i figured it out its been fine.

 

They were in there, I just had to push a little harder to get them in even more. Seemed to work. Thanks.

 

Ok, I'm still having problems with keeping the clasps shut. Can you explain how to trim the bellows. I want to make sure I do it right.

 

Jilly just trim the section at the throttle body end. If its the slp bellows its only silicon and a sharp razor blade will work fine. It will relieve the pressure at the back of the lid allowing it to slip in a little easier. I trimmed off almost 3/8ths to a half inch on mine. Still is a tight fit but much easier to remove to inspect the filter

 

Ok, well, I'll try it this weekend and see what happens.
