What is the purpose of hte vacume line on the SLP lid? Can i remove this or modifyit so it is in a different place?

 

That's the air pump hose - sucks air in when the pump is on. You can put a small filter on it and tuck it in/tie it off somewhere as long as you don't restrict the airflow (will throw a code). You'll also need something to seal the hole in the side of the lid.
