Kooks header install problems.

So i got my car torn into about 50 pieces right now trying to put this kooks exhaust system on, but i cant fit the driver's side header through the engine compartment because it hits the oil filter mount and the motor mount. The instructions that came with the car say that you only need to take the oil filter off to fit these in, but i have no idea how to get them to fit. Can i just loosed the motor mount on that side and jack it up? The headers are kooks 1 7/8 and im trying to put them in a 99 z28. thanx

Re: Kooks header install problems.

Shouldn't it slide up from underneath?

Mine aren't Kooks or 1 7/8's but mine went in super easy from underneath with the car on jackstands.

The oil filter shouldn't be a prob either, the drain plug sticks out farther.

I'm thinking that I put mine in from the bottom also.
