Knock knock

Ok, I'm about to tackel replacing 2 bad knock sensors. First off, anybody heard of 2 bad knock sensors going bad? My light came on yesterday and ran sluggish. I dropped off the car and they said it was a 327(i think) code, bad knock sensors. My real question is, they said I dont need to replace the intake gaskets or the intake bolts, they dont when they do them. Any input. PS The car has 71000 miles on it

Thanks for the reply. My buddy already replaced them last night. We were going to do it today, but he got bored and did it. You should have seen how bad 1 looked. He said it was under water, condensation.
