keep or buy a new
I have a huge dilemma. I own a 1994 Z28 Camaro. I’ve owned her for about 2 years now and she’s treated me really good, but yet I still went more. I’m going back and forth about weather to fix this one up or get a new one. My Camaro has a lot of miles 130,000 and some places it really shoes. The paint looks good but I notice a lot of chips and scratches that other people really cant notice. It’s not stock but its close. It has a small cam upgrade and its been chipped. The interior is shot. It’s the first car I've ever owned and I would hate to part with her but it seems impractical to fix her up when I could probably buy a new car and save some $$$. I would greatly appreciate some advice if any one has any.

I was in a similar dilemma with a 96 RS. It had 140,000 but I got complements on it all the time, It looked pretty much flawless, had never saw winter, and was always garaged so the paint really shined unlike most I see. I'd come out of clubs and girls would want rides. At the gym there was a girl that would always tell me how much she liked it and she'd always ask if she could have it. My little sister would always tell my dad she wanted one just like mine when she turned 16. Everywhere I went the girls just loved it. Every other time I went through a fast food drive thru the girls would almost always complement it. The day Itraded it in i stopped at McDonalds 75 miles from my home and the girl said how much she liked it. that certainly didn't make it any easier to see it go. So much for Camaros being out of style.
It was about to need a new headliner, you could see it getting real thin. One of the speakers was starting to act funny, it would just cut out once in awhile. Paint was starting to chip on the front nose piece. just a bunch of little things that weren't far from needing attention.
I loved that car but I really wanted something faster and newer. So I just picked up an 02 z28 sebring silver with the ground effects package, factory chrome wheels, and only 40K on it. It's 100% stock and it came with a 1 year bumper to bumper GM warranty. I'm so glad I did, I couldn't be happier with it.
I was looking for about 4 months before I found the one I wanted. Before that I was researching other cars, new and used, and pretty much found there aren't many affordable rear wheel drive LSD's out there that don't have some serious issues.
