K&N: Track Only

K&N: Track Only
I prefer to use a Fram paper filter for daily driving, but how effective would a dry (ungreased) K&N filter be for use ONLY at the track?
Would it make any difference at all over the Fram paper filter or would it be too small (if even existent) to notice? Also, would just pulling my current filter out for a pass be better than the K&N?

IDK the gains between greased and ungreased K&N.

Re: K&N: Track Only
i highly doubt you will notice the diff. if you arent going to oil the K&N then you might as well not run a filter because the oil is what catches all of the dust. Not having oil on their is not going to affect the flow capabilities by much if anything at all.

Re: K&N: Track Only
Hp on a dyno doesn't always equate to better track times. I've seen 1 comparison, not enough for any concrete conclusion.
If you're running and un-OILED (yes they're oiled not greased) K&N you might as well be running no filter.
