K&N Filter Breather

Ok so I did a dumb thing. I have a 2002 z28. I ordered the TSP lid w/ k&n filter and did not order the K&N Filter Breather, I forgot. Can someone explain what that is? Is it a filter? When I look up the part number via google or on car parts websites it comes back as a "crank case filter"?!?!?! When I get my lid will i just be able to hook up that hose to the lid or do I need that K&N Filter Breather? the part number is 62 1030. Anyone with one of these please help, this is driving me nuts trying to figure this out. Thanks very much.

You can get them from anyone who sells aftermaket lids, Or you can buy the extra new K&n I have for $15 shipped. U do need this filter for all the lids except SLP lid. If you like paypal to zzippperr@aol.com. I can ship today if USPS is open.

You know I think I have answered my own question. I feel like an idiot right now. The hose that connects to my stock lid will be removed and I will use that K&N FILTER(62-1030) to put on the A.I.R. pump. I did a search on the forum and found where some people just tied it off w/ a zip tie, but since we have emissions here in NC I would think I need this piece. Ok questions answered thank you! I think I will just go pick one up at an auto store here. thanka
