Question Just put on Hurst T-handle shifter ***. I have a ????

After screwing the spacer nut all the way down there were not enough threads for the T-handle to screw on. It says if there are not enough threads to discard the spacer nut and use a two part epoxy to hold the handle where you want it. I used a maximum strength thread locker instead. I think the two part epoxy would never allow me to take the handle off. Do you guys think the thread locker will hold good enough ??? I used the red maximum strength kind.

If it doesn't you can always do the other later if you want.

actually there's still hope. the green loctite is the strongest on the market. another inexpensive fix is to drill and tap an 1/8 set screw. get a small piece of plastic put it against the threads and tighten down the set screw that will hold for sure.

The red is fine. I used it on my B&M light truck mega shifter handle and it's still stayin put after 1 1/2 years.
