I got the magnaflow cat-back friday and put it in today, overall it's a nice system, i like the way it looks and i like the price, but it's not as intimidating as other systems... Maybe it needs some time to break in, it sounds really good, but it's not quite as loud as i would like, maybe a set of headers and a y pipe would make it sound a little louder/ throatier... but overall, i like it

 

Yeah, that's why I bought the Magnaflow- it's sounds great and flows very well but it's not too loud.

i have the magnaflow catback also.........
had it installed last summer........

but, i dont know if its my imagination, but it seems like it is a little louder now........probably just have to break it in a little.......

imo it looks the best of all the catbacks and most importantly, its not annoyingly loud going down the highway like other systems.

Did you buy an exhaust system or the muffler only? How much louder is it than the stock system, does the sound get better as you get on it, and how does it sound when you start it up? If you don't mind me asking, what was the damage?

 

Exactly! Headers really wake the Magnaflow system up.

I got the system, the cat-back, from rapidmotorsports in birdsboro pa. it is much louder then the stock system, but it's not terribly loud, the car sounds really muscle car sounds around idle up to 2 grand, then around 3 it get's kind of quiet for a bit, and as you go higher and higher it just starts to scream. At start up, it makes my stock car sound like a beast.... I got it for like $425, maybe a little bit high priced compared to ebay or other places, but i picked it up at the shop so i guess you would have to figure in shipping from an online distibuter. Overall, I'm pleased

The system is only quiet at idle and then its a low rumble. But on normal acceleration it gets loud and good sound.At WOT like Firstgenboy says"It screams pure muscle".I think it kicks a$$ its a awesome straight thru design system w/ no restrictions.Polished SS,and lifetime warranty. Easy install
