Just got back from the dyno

I just got back from the dyno shop. Did 4 runs, 2 w/o predator and 2 w/predator.

Max w/o Predator
317.7 hp 342.8 tq

Max w/ Predator
324.9 hp 348.3 tq

Im happy. I set the timing to the max setting, but I didn't mess with the fuel. All in all a good say. I'll upload the sheets to my website and link them over here later.

I got just about the same exact gains with my predator.

nice hp & tq.
But makes me wonder why mine isn't getting that kinda hp.
I only got 297 hp, & 310 tq at the wheels when I went last year.

Engine Mods are: (used to be in sig.)
3" SLP loudmouth
SLP air lid W/ K&N
Billet Steel Flywheel, & SLP's clutch assem

Am I below the average or are you just a fluke?

camaro98: that's good. What were your A/F readings? Likely, if you didn't mess with the mix and you got those gains from timing alone, there's proably another 7-8 hps left for tuning.

Roberto: considering all you have is a lid and exhaust for the dyno, those numbers aren't bad at all. Well within normal. Keep in mind that not all dynos are build the same or produce the same numbers. A Dynojet will produces #'s higher then a Mustang Dyno, for example. I was dyno'd at one shop and got 322 rwhp, then a year later at another shop, I got only 307 rwhp - the latter dyno was obviously more conservative than the first. Obviously, it can be tough to compare dyno numbers unless you both dyno'd the same day at the same shop.

I didnt get a air/fuel reading, it was extra and the baseline was already expensive enough. I plan on taking it to the track sometime in the coming months. I know my cousin wants to take his 70 bird, so whenver he feels like going I will too. I just have to figure out how to launch it. When I used the g-tech I spun the tires a little to much and ran like a 14.5. Then I babied it and got a 13.67 @110.5, so i know I can hit a better time, but I have to find the right launch. All I can say is I love the power these cars make.

niether, youre both pretty much right on. there is a definite HP dispcrepency between the 98 and 02 model cars, with the latter having more power. plus on any given day a dyno and weather can affect your numbers to a degree.

Nice Numbers... I still need to find a dyno in my area, so I can find out what I am actually pushing.. My car is mostly stock except w/ Dynomouth mod done and even w/ 2.73 gears, if I just floor it, I cannot keep from burning the rear tires on it...
