Talking Just bought a 2000 ss but...

Just bought a ss with 26,000 miles red m6 for 17,500 it does have some aftermarket mods but the car is in mint condition it turns out a girl owned it before and the car was well kept but know to my problem it turn out the passenger side cat is bad what i wanna do is just through a offroad y pipe on,take the old cats gut them slice them in half and weld them on over the new pipe so i can pass the visual test for emmisions do you think this is a good idea? after all this is done what do you think the dyno on rear tires will be with a good tune job, the car has a lid, mafs, smooth bellow, larger throttlebody (not sure what size it is but it is bigger)ls6 manifold, cold air intake along with the ram air from the hood(not sure if that will help any)and a crapmaster exhaust (will soon change)?and how will it sound with the cats gone?oh yeah i plan on throwing the lm exhaust on. thanks guys

Most people say the flowmasters get pretty raspy with the cats gone. LM with no cats gets variable opinions, and hold off on that tune untill you get headers, or unless your planning on doing nothing else to the car then it is fine.

those mods...running well...

i suggest putting a cutout on the flowmaster...

as for the cat removal idea...never heard it done that way...why not just use an orp and when comes time to pass emissions..put the stocker back on?
