HEy i was test driving a 99 m6 ls-1 and when i was on it the car was fine till i got to second it had a jerking feeling for a few seconds and sort of sounded like a popping noise is that a problem with 2nd or a torque arm or something hit me back with some answers

 

What RPMS were you running @ in 2nd gear when it popped like that ?? Sounds too me, like you hit the rev limiter... If it was transmission did the shifter jump out of gear ??

 

could be the clutch slipping, and than a backfire. Does the car do it when your not on it hard. If it was a test drive i would move on to another car.
