Its falling apart
Its falling apart
Well about 4 weeks ago the passenger power window started going out a week later the drivers side started going out.
But my current problem is that earlier today I drove somewhere perfectly fine and then when I went to leave I could barely get it to go into reverse( I have a 6 speed) and it been like that all day and night, I have to literally pushthe stick to the right with both hands, I drove about 20 miles and the about 4 hours later I left to go home and as I was driving the service engine light came on. Do you think that this is related, could it even be related? Or do I have a completly different problem to add to the list? I did just put in o2 simms about 6 months ago, do you think those could have went bad? Im going to try to get it into a shop but I want to see if this might be a common prob that I could easily fix.

Re: Its falling apart
I seriously doubt the light is related to your transmission troubles .... but I have been wrong before. I do feel your pain as my 99TA daily driver is starting to show some wear and tear at 97k. My passenger window is very slow to rise and it seems to help if I open the door before rolling it all the way up. My knock sensor is oil fowled due to a leaky o-ring on the valley cover and I have just recently experienced some rather noisy and embarrassing lifter noise at startup when the motor is cold. I won't even mention the f*cked up headlight motors even with the aftermarket brass gears in them, the wore out rearend and sloppy 4.10's, and the 2nd gear syncs that are going out.
But hey, it's paid for, gets 18 - 23 MPH, has power to spare, and still turns heads at stop lights

Re: Its falling apart
Well I found the problem, it was a blown fuse under the hood, the 20 amp fuse controls the lockout solenoid, skip shift, mass air sensor, and somthing else I changed the fuse and everything is fine now the ses light went out about 50 miles after changing the fuse. My worry now is that I wonder why the fuse blew in the first place.
Oh and my car only has 40,000 on it.
