intake side question

hello,

installed lid and bellows. and have a 80mm Throttle Body ready.

what are your thoughts on me waiting to get a MAF sensor and intake manifold and installing the throttle body with it all at once? I wonder if getting those pieces makes me "ready" for a larger TB. I asked a TB question earlier and was told to not bother because the engine wasn't "ready" for it.

What makes the engine "ready?"

Re: intake side question

what makes it "ready"?

450 hp....either good head/cam or Forced Induction

and even then you proably would get about 5hp

so shy of those situation (and even IN those situations) the $400 for an 80mm TB is better spent elsewhere.

you can put it on a stock car...shouldn't have any adverse affects. probalby would gain a little part throttle response. but not much hp.

return it, or sell it...buy something better proven to gain HP

Re: intake side question

what sucks is you probaly won't get much for it.

i would be willing to bet the market has dropped on them since people who actually NEED more air are switching to the FAST intakes and the matching TBs...

but you may find a sucker....there are tons of them on ebay...

i mean people buy the "terminator" and the "turbonator" on ebay all the time
