Give me your thoughts on the 80mm throttle body and a intake manifold from BBK.

will these mods make the engine sound different?
Tell me your experience and comments.

sound different...NO...

more hp is questionable. probably but i havn't seen any tests on those yet so hard to say.

but the LS6 intake gains about 10hp at the wheels so i should imagine the BBK would gain similar.

 

Unless you have the mods to support an 80mm Tb it'll probably kill throttle response.

 

same as with the old carburated engines. so many times i saw people take a stock 350 and buy a huge 750 or 850 for it and go slower and have drivability problems....because the engine was stock and didn't need more carburation....and I blow them away with my 500CFM 2bbl. know a guy that was putting our about 600+hp on a 750CFM carb. switched toa 850 and gained about 3mph but his et was the same. so even at those power levels a bigger carb didn't make much difference.

You'll gain a 5-10 hp from the intake manifold...your stock tb is fine though, you wont gain anything from an aftermarket one

 

buy a ls6 intake manifold and be better off BBK=JUNK
