installing TSP lid, need new k&n gasket?

i have the k&n filter. when installing the TSP lid, do i need to put a new gasket on the lid? or will it seal with the k&n filter?

if i need to put on a new gasket, where could i find one??? don't want to buy a new filter to get the new gasket...

My suggestion would be to carefully pry the gasket off the old lid and attach it to the new one. After 3 years of use, I had a problem with the gasket coming off in a few places. I took it off the lid and reattached it with some super glue. If you don't feel like spending a little time doing that, you could probably call K&N and have them send you a new gasket (for a minimal charge probably). I definately would suggest doing one or the other. I wouldn't wanna run the risk of dirt getting into the intake over time. Could end up costing ya $$$...

just go to a hardware store and get a roll of adhesive backed weather stripping.
