Installing Corvette Fuel Rail Covers

First off, I've gotta say its been a nightmare so far. I ordered some corvette fuel rail covers from ebay for 79 bucks, and I've had to cut the crap out of them to try and get them to fit. I still dont have them in because I finally gave up last night. How are they supposed to fit in there!?!?!?!

i know what you mean, i just went through that nightmare and finally just took them off. they're sitting in the garage collecting dust. you should only have to cut the passenger side cover for the throttle cable and a small notch for the oil dipstick. if you have an auto tranny, you'll have to cut a large section off the back of the pass side cover. after doing all the cutting, mine just wouldn't fit right, they wouldn't sit down on the intake manifold. i think the culprit was the big wiring covers that go to the injectors. i couldn't push them down far enough to get the covers to fit snugly on the manifold.

good luck. hope you have better results than me.

I guess thats why companies charge 200 F'ing dollars for the fuel rail covers that fit the F-Bodies.

They will fit, just alot of trial and error and ALOT of patience. The hardest part was making room for the EGR. Mine took me about an hour and a half to do.

Well, I bought the corvette 00-02 style cover with the one hole for the fuel lines I need two holes like the 98 style. I wish they would stop selling the 00-02 style and saying it will fit 00-02 camaros. It was more money for the single hole than the one with two.
