where you push the bottom piece into the top piece it will only go so far then the piece for the hood latch stops it from going in any farther. there is about a 3/4 inch gap in the middle but the sides are in the whole way, is this supposed to be like this? im sure the air can still flow through but it seems since there is a gap in the middle where the two pieces slide into eachother that this isnt sealded the whole way across? will this be ok? thanks
it's just the way it is designed around that latch support.
think of it this way, it will help prevent possible water being sucked up...since it isn't 100% sealed.
it won't affect the funtion though.
so how do you like the gains from the unit?

Were you guys able to remove the lower radiator shrowd by pulling out those three fastners? I couldn't get em to save my life so I left it in ... going to cut the thing out with a dremel eventually.
And does the top backside of your SSRA unit touch/press against the the radiator behind it (what is that the transmission cooler?)

I'm guessing when I get that lower shrowd out there will be more room for the SSRA to angle forward and then it will no longer press against the A/C condenser ... Think it's hurting anything pressing against it now? I never even use A/C in my car hehe .. windows down all the time.
Hey Josh, just saw the time in the sig ... Very nice!

i found using a pair of wire clippers works good on fasteners like that.
they slid in under the "head" and you can leverage them out
as for touching the radiator, mine doesn't...it come close but doesn't touch that i can think of.

SSRA install
yes its the radiator and it does touch it.. i was kind of mad about it at first because it seemed cheap when I installed mine.. but it hasn't made a difference so far.. jus be careful when installing not to push too hard against it and damage it. It definatel a tite fit
