Question Installed SLP Loudmouth now have shifting problems

Hey Guys/Gals,

Well I put my first mod on an SLP Loudmouth exhaust and today I have discovered a problem with the way my car shifts. I have the A4 and whenever I use my passing gear now the motor revs really hard and it sounds like it's hitting the rev limiter then it actually goes to 6000 RPMS and shifts. Also when I’m going about 30-40 miles an hour without changing my foot position on the gas it will rev up for a bout 2 seconds then it will go back to normal.

This is freaking me out; when I installed the exhaust I followed all of SLP's directions, used exhaust sealant to secure the parts and checked the O2 sensors for damage.

I have the feeling that this is a computer issue since the exhaust gases are flowing at a higher rate and maybe the computer isn't interpreting the mixture right because of it. Has anyone else had an issue like this? I'll probably take my car to the dealer and see what they say or if they can re-program the computer if needed I’m just concerned here I'd be grateful for some input.

Thanks!

LS1 's computer is a learning compiuter so it might just be getting used to the new flow....about 200 miles or so it may clear up. See if anyone agrees.

yeah the computer does take some time to get used to the flow. Also the change in tourqe from low to high will affect the way the car shifts.

Unhappy

Yup,

My tranny was burt to hell aparently, I called my service advisior and he said the only thing orginal in my tranny is the casing now. Totally horrible how the tranny could fail this early my car has 17,800 miles on it. The sad thing is the service people called me 30 mins after my inquiry asking if my car had a kill switch because it wasn't starting now ....lets say i'm not exactly pleased with tihs sitution..*sigh*
